Companies and Intellectual Property Office (CIPO)
The Companies and Intellectual Property Office was established under Part II of the Patents Act, Act 8 of 1999 (PDF, 1.18 MB). The CIPO is the National Companies and Intellectual Property Registry for the Commonwealth of Dominica and is a Department of the Ministry of Tourism and Legal Affairs.
The Office is responsible for administering legislation, registering and keeping records in relation to Intellectual Property, Companies, Business Names and International Business Companies in Dominica.
Functions of the Companies and Intellectual Property Office include:
- Registration of Intellectual Property
- Registration of International Business Companies
- Registration of Business Names, Local Companies and Non-profit Companies
